About April
April Petrie is a certified grief companion/coach, support group facilitator, and grief educator. Grief is a wilderness with unknown terrain, unexpected turns in the path & often a long and lonely journey. April is passionate about offering individuals & groups her presence in finding their way through tumultuous times of loss and grief--to bring comfort alongside the journeyer. April has a tender, compassionate presence to offer the mourner --born from her own wilderness grief journey as she moved through the sudden loss of her first husband in 2009. With her certificate in narrative -focused trauma care, a certificate in spiritual direction and her most recent certificate in Death & Grief Studies from the Center for Loss & Life Transition in CO, she has a well rounded lens for the many aspects of life affected by grief and loss. She provides a safe space for individuals/group members to process their emotions and find supports to move through the betwixt and between places in the wilderness of grief. She will provide an embracing, light-filled presence to help the hurting move through the dark toward light, healing & hope.

On this site you will find her services, group information & articles on grief to help you better understand & seek care for yourself & others in the mourning process.
